Updated on: August 11, 2026 / 12:18 PM EDT / CBS News The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has risen at least $1 billion after no winning tickets were sold for Monday's $905 million grand prize, Powerball says. The estimated cash value would be at least  $433.1 million. It's the eighth biggest Powerball prize in history and the largest lottery jackpot of 2026. Monday's winning numbers were 6, 37, 54, 55, 64 with a Powerball of 10. The estimated cash value would come into play if the holder of a winning ticket chooses a lump-sum payout rather than 30 annuity payments spanning 29 years, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. Both options are before taxes. Wednesday's drawing will be the 44th since a Powerball jackpot was won on May 2, when tickets purchased in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize. This is just the 15th time that a $1 billion prize level has been reached in U.S. lottery history, and the eighth for Powerball. The largest Powerball jackpot — and largest lottery jackpot ever — was won with a single $2.04 billion ticket sold in California in November 2022.    Powerball tickets cost $2. They were sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands until last month, when tickets also went on sale in the U.K. However, tickets bought there only count toward the Powerball jackpot, and lower-tier prizes are structured differently. The odds of winning the Powerball grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338. Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. ET.
